Morning Adventure

After preschool let out for the year, we were having a quiet morning one day, when we heard a lot of trucks outside.  The boys ran out in their jammies to see, and a few houses down, we could see that a house across the street was getting a new sidewalk and patio poured.  After each family leaves a house, part of the cleaning and reboot for the next family is that they jackhammer up the driveway, sidewalk, and patios and re-pour them.  Even if the family only lived there a week.  They do lots of jackhammering around here.  It's very loud.

Anyway, this is a really cool truck.  It gets wet concrete poured into it from the cement mixer truck, and then that huge orange arm is a pipe that pumps the mix up and over the wall, and into the patio.  They used two cement mixer trucks to fill the pipe truck and pour the new slabs.

We sat out there to watch for maybe 30 or 40 minutes.  Catherine was napping, so it was just the boys and me.  I made the mistake of letting them take some pictures with the camera.  When I got the camera back, I had 156 pictures of this truck, the grass, the sky, and the view from their belly button up their chest and into their nose.  I'll cull the lot and leave you with just one picture for this post, taken by me of course!
